Article 1: Subject matter
For those purposes, this Regulation provides for:

The period laid down in Article 5(6) of Decision 1999/468/EC shall be set at three months.

Article 17: Establishment of the Community list of food enzymes
The deadline for submitting such applications shall be 24 months after the date of application of the implementing measures to be laid down in accordance with Article 9(1) of Regulation 2008/1331 [establishing a common authorisation procedure for food additives, food enzymes and food flavourings].
The Commission shall submit the applications to the Authority for its opinion.
However, by way of derogation from that procedure:

Article 24: Entry into force
Article 4 shall apply from the date of application of the Community list. Until that date, national provisions in force concerning the placing on the market and use of food enzymes and food produced with food enzymes shall continue to apply in the Member States.
Articles 10 to 13 shall apply from 20 January 2010.
